"For 2016, I am proud and excited to be involved in a number of very cool projects. I have my own groups of course - String Love (which is now releasing 4 tracks along with videos), Take 3, and The Patsy Cline Show, all of which are booking well. But I'm also heavily involved with several other outstanding bands and artists - Charley Jenkins (who also just released a couple new tracks and videos), Dizzy Desoto, Utah Swing Orchestra, and two bands that are brand new - the Electric White Orchestra and the Over / Under Band. Look for great things from each of these groups this year!
This year my students are as good as ever! Over the years I've spent a lot of time and energy building a studio full of students I love, as well as instructing at local workshops and clinics and often hosting sectionals at local schools. I have also also been instrumental in the editing of instructional books and I would love to do more of that.
In the last couple years I've been really focusing on arranging and creating new music, both for existing groups and new groups. In 2016 I plan to write, arrange, and record as often as I'm able. I'm going to dive into more string arranging, more bass guitar studio work, more song writing, and I'm even starting a publishing company with a partner (though the details on that are still secret).
Lastly, instrument sales through my business, On Site Music, have been better than even and I'm hoping to expand that greatly in 2016.
Over the years I've built many great relationships in the music industry, with fellow performers, educators, manufacturers, studios, booking agents, retailers, and more. I'm blessed to know many talented, brilliant, hard working people, and I can't wait to make 2016 my most prolific (and hopefully profitable) year ever.
